Sr. Documentation Specialist
Opportunity available in Canadian Head Office - Calgary, AB

Resman Holdings and Edon Management are currently seeking a senior documentation specialist with commercial real estate experience to join their growing team. Together our Companies have been prominent players in Alberta’s commercial real estate industry for over 30 years, owning and managing an impressive 2 million square feet of assets. This position will provide support to both the VP of Real Estate and the Leasing Manager.
As the senior document specialist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including reviewing and drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, managing files and invoicing as it relates to the companies’ leasing, development, and acquisition business. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the legal system, as it relates to commercial real estate, a keen eye to detail, as well as exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Preference will be given to those candidates who hold a paralegal designation and have worked in commercial real estate at a legal practice, landlord or brokerage.
Key Deliverables
·Accurate and timely preparation of all lease and development documentation, and correspondence between the landlord, tenants, consultants and/or legal representatives
·Ensure that all precedent documents in use are the most recent version (vetted by counsel if required)
·Coordinate discussion of, revisions to, finalization of, and execution of all documents between landlord/owner, tenants (or their agent) and municipal authorities
·Track documentation flow and ensure documents are fully completed/ executed and within the contract parameter.
·Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, internal colleagues, consultants and suppliers.
·Prepare, seek approval for and process invoices of all fees related to preparation of legal documents and internal real estate commissions
Qualifications
·Five or more years relevant experience as a documentation specialist, paralegal or similar capacity.
·Legal Assistant/Paralegal Studies or University Degree
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Enhanced customer care and client management skills
·Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and PowerBI skills an asset
·Excellent time management and organizational skills
·Good analytical skills
·Ability to meet deadlines, articulate ideas, and react appropriately even under pressure.
·Detail oriented with an ability to focus on and proofread complex documents.
