Engineered Air is seeking a qualified candidate to fulfill a full-time role for the newly created position of Software Development Manager, reporting to the Manager of Digital Technology. This position is office-based working out of the company’s head office facility in Calgary and will interact with all levels of management across North America. The position’s priorities would be to manage various software development projects, some of which are currently underway, while providing insight and guidance into software development technology opportunities for the company along with oversight, mentorship, development, and project management for our group of developers.
The successful candidate will establish and implement quality controls, code reviews, documentation standards, complete periodic reviews of the corporate technology stack, ensure development is undertaken within the company’s technology stack, and manage technology debt update cycles. Management duties are expected to account for roughly half of the workload for the candidate. The remaining workload will be filled by programming, advancing active projects, and research.
